Snezana Markoski and Sam Wood are proof that the couple who work out together, stay together.
“It’s good to have a laugh while you push each other,” says Sam.
The smitten duo, both 37, tell OK! they’re keen to grow their family. “Willow is only six months old, but we definitely think we want another baby,” says Snez, who’s also mum to 12-year-old daughter Eve.
Sam, who founded the 28 by Sam Wood fitness program, says his fiancée inspires him with her “selflessness and strength”.
So could the pair be hitting the gym in preparation for their upcoming nuptials this year? ”You’ll have to wait and see,” he laughs.
Is this the cutest post ever? Doting day – and clear Hawthorn supporter – Sam put up this pic of Snez, Evie, Willow, pet pup and pink couch on Instagram this week and his fans went nuts.
Here’s what the loved-up pair had to say to OK:
How is life as parents of two?
Snez: Hectic. Eve has just started high school and is loving it, but it’s a big change. Willow changes every single day, so there’s never a dull moment.
Sam: We do lots more workouts and walks as a family, and understand it’s OK to only get to the gym from time to time, as some things in life are far more
important.
Snez, you look incredible! How did you approach fitness after Willow’s birth?
Snez: I took it slow and steady, but it definitely helps having Australia’s best personal trainer in the house!
Sam: I just did what I could to help and support her. Snez usually does my 28 workouts from home where she can’t swear at me, or trains with me in person once a week to break things up a bit. That way I get to hang with her and Willow, too, while Evie’s at school.
Sam, why do you think Snez bounced back so quickly after giving birth?
Sam: People forget Willow is nearly six months old and Snez did next to nothing for the first three months. It’s been really gradual. For the last three months Snez has been feeling fitter and stronger every single day, and I know this helped with her consistency.
How do the two of you inspire one another?
Snez: Seeing the time and devotion he has for his 28ers every day is an inspiration. It’s not his job, it’s his life.
Sam: Snez is the best mum to both Eve and Willow, and she’s always taking care of us all. That’s why I’m even more focused on ensuring she takes good care of herself, as she often needs a little reminder to do this.
Do either of you have any vices?
Snez: Bread. With kids and a chocoholic partner, plenty of eggs around this Easter.
Sam: Definitely too many beers during footy season.
