The riddle may have been solved the next day, however, when she was spied at the airport with Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger, 24, who is also single, despite his brooding good looks.
“I was walking through the foyer of the Crown Metropol hotel and I saw Sam Frost still wearing this dress… at 6.41am!” Sonia Kruger told co-host David Campbell during a post-Logies fashion wrap-up on Today Extra.
David jumped to Sam’s defence, explaining it’s “not a walk of shame until after 7am. At 6.41 she’s still in party mode!”
After the awards ceremony, on the way to Ten’s afterparty at Crown, Sam, 28, was swept off her feet by a handsome male journalist.
John Caldwell was keen to plant a kiss on her, unfazed by the paparazzi.
Sam later went missing for four hours as concerned friends sent messages to anyone who may have seen her sneak away.
“I got a text from a worried friend of Sam’s at 5am looking to find her and make sure she got back to her hotel OK,” one insider told us.
The former Bachelorette had been seen earlier hitting the dance floor and enjoying all the attention from eager men lining up to dance with her.
“Sam totally let her hair down at the party. She was having the time of her life,” another party eyewitness revealed.
It’s Sam’s third Logies since she rose to fame in 2014 and she usually has a network publicist in tow.
This year she had no minder, despite filming Seven cooking show Hell’s Kitchen, and relished the freedom to enjoy the star-studded event.
Now To Love caught up with her on the Logies red carpet earlier that night to chat about Sophie Monk stepping up as the next Bachelorette.
“I love Sophie Monk, she’s a little gun,” Sam said at the event. “She’s the perfect Bachelorette because she doesn’t take bullsh-t, she’s cool and she’s a babe and I think she’ll be fantastic.”
So does she have her advice for her successor, considering she’s been there and done that?
“I’d say stay true to yourself and your values, she’s going to do that because that’s the type of person she is.”
As for what the radio star is looking for in a man?
“It changes, I’ve evolved as a person. I’m 28 and as you go through relationships and you meet new people, your priorities change. I want someone who is fun and makes me laugh a lot. And it true to themselves.”
