Ruby Rose confirmed the sad news via her Instagram stories during the Easter break.

“I’ve shared the past two years learning and sharing my life with an amazing human being. An experience for which I am very blessed,” Ruby’s statement began.

“It’s with a heavy heart to share that Jess and I parted ways a few months ago.”

“We still love each other very much and I will always support her and be her biggest advocate. With love x,” the 32-year-old signed off.

After briefly dating in 2008, Ruby and Jess rekindled their romance in 2016.

“It’s me. Me and Ruby Rose. And it is our love story in this video,” Jess confirmed at the time during a radio interview opening up about The Veronicas’ latest video clip On Your Side, which Ruby played the lead role in.

“It’s about the dynamic, the highs and the lows of people in love, in a relationship. We have been friends for eight years. A really long time and it was just honestly the craziest thing,” Jess reflected of falling back in love with the Orange Is The New Black star.

“We just reconnected over doing this video, she wrote and directed it, and is in it with us and we just sort of fell in love.”

Last year, the pair made headlines after they were involved in a nasty online spat with Jess’ sister and bandmade Lisa Origliasso over the same-sex marriage debate.

And in December, the Pitch Perfect 3 star revealed she was in couples’ therapy with Jess.

“Every relationship has ups and downs, and great moments, but that’s what I love about it,” Ruby said at the time.

“I swear by it with every relationship ever – and that’s therapy. I think it’s the greatest thing for an individual first. You need to know yourself and heal yourself and love yourself to love someone else.”

Wishing Ruby and Jess all the best in this next chapter!
