After growing up through tragic circumstances after losing their father, Australian icon Steve Irwin, siblings Bindi and Robert have always had each others back.
The Irwin family has remained at the forefront of Australia as they continue to shine a light and build a legion of supports for the country’s unique wildlife, as was so loved by Steve Irwin himself.
Call them Australian royalty if you will, we’ll always love to see any update from the Irwin family – especially as it continues to grow.
Indeed, Bindi Irwin is due to give birth to her first child – a baby girl – any day now.
The 22-year-old is well and truly ready for motherhood alongside her husband Chandler Powell. She’s got her nursery sorted, baby names on the brain and even her mum Terri has picked her grandma name.
And Robert is clearly just as excited to become an uncle.
The 17-year-old posted a gorgeous picture of himself and his sister to his Instagram this week in line with International Women’s Day.
He wrote: “I’ve got the most amazing sister ever, I can’t believe she’s about to be a mum! Woah! Since I was super little, Bindi’s always been such a caring and protective big sister and I know she is going to be such an incredible mother to this new little baby girl.”
He continued of his niece-to-be: “Today, on #InternationalWomensDay I’m thinking about how awesome it’s going to be for another strong and determined woman to enter the world. She’ll get such an incredible role model to learn from in Bindi!”
Bindi wrote straight back to her brother with a comment of support.
“This made my day. Love you so much! Incredibly lucky to be your sister.”
Earlier this week, Bindi shared a first look inside her unborn child’s nursery, which is decked out with an Australia Zoo theme.
She shared a gorgeous snapshot of a beautiful mural, which was painted by Bindi’s aunt and artist Maryanne Oliver.
In the mural, a variety of animals including echidnas, cockatoos, koalas and of course crocodiles are framed by bright love-hearts and shrubbery.
