“I got married when I was 23 and I had two kids by the time I was 27,” the Big Little Lies star shared in an interview with ITV’s Lorraine.

The former couple met at Reese’s 21st birthday party back in 1997 and starred in Cruel Intentions together before they wed two years later. They later welcomed Ava, 18, and Deacon, 13.

Reese and Ryan were the iconic ’90s couple.

But Reese seemed to hint that she may have rushed down the aisle and was too young to be settling down…

“I don’t know, sometimes it’s good to know yourself [first],” she revealed.

However, despite that the actress has no regrets. “I would never change anything,” Reese admitted.

Indeed, Reese and Ryan have remained close following their split. And while they’ve both had another kid each with other people – Reese shares son Tennessee five, with hubby Jim Toth, while Ryan has daughter Kailani, six, with Pitch Perfect star Alexis Knapp – they continue to co-parent amicably.

“You have to get to that point as a divorced parent, as any parent, where you’re not putting yourself first. You want the kids’ experience to be its own and not like, ‘Well, I need to have my time!’ We have been very good about that,” Ryan told ET back in November 2015.

Reese also opened up about her lookalike daughter, and admitted that she doesn’t want the teen following in her footsteps when it comes to marriage.

“I’ve said to my daughter, I think you know, at 25, you start to know yourself a little bit better,” she said.

Reese’s revealing interview comes as her ex-husband has been forced to deny domestic violence allegations.

Ryan says assault allegations made against him by his ex-partner Elsie Hewitt are false.

Elsie has filed a lawsuit against the actor for allegedly beating her in a drunken rage. The 21-year-old claims the actor kicked, punched and threw her down a flight of stairs during a fight that happened on July 4 of this year.

His rep gave a statement to People that reads: “As a staunch advocate for the health, well-being and equality of women, Ryan is completely devastated that these false allegations have been made and circulated. Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue and fabricated and proven false claims should not be used to unjustly slander the falsely accused. The claims are false.”
