Phoebe Burgess, the wife of NRL star Sam Burgess, has given birth to the couple’s second child, an adorable baby boy.
On Sunday, William ‘Billy’ Mark Burgess came into the world weighing 4.22kg, giving almost 2-year-old Poppy Alice a younger brother.
Phoebe, 29, shared a photo of her new addition to Instagram on Tuesday night.
In a family selfie taken by Sam in the hospital delivery room, the young mum looked fresh-faced and glowy just after giving birth.
“Welcome to our world little big man, our hearts are so full. #FamilyofFour,” she captioned the image.
The new member of the Burgess family arrives just three months after South Sydney Rabbitohs player Sam was embroiled in a sexting scandal.
It’s alleged the 29-year-old English-born star sent inappropriate messages to a 23-year-old woman following the Rabbitohs’ victory over the Warriors in Auckland on May 26.
The woman lodged a formal complaint with the Rabbitoh’s claiming she felt “disgusted and violated” following the incident, and alleged the club had not properly dealt with the issue.
But following an internal investigation, Burgess was cleared of “any actionable misconduct”.
Phoebe has stuck by her man during the whole saga, following a brief getaway to Fiji to avoid the spotlight after the news broke.
Three days after the scandal, she shared a photo of herself and daughter Poppy having a picnic in a park, with her pregnant belly exposed. Referring to husband Sam in the caption, she wrote: “Moments in the sun with our babies.”
