Let’s face it, job hunting can be pretty damn crap.
Just ask former Channel Nine journalist Peter Stefanovic, who is on the hustle for a new gig following his recent departure from Weekend Today and 60 Minutes.
And it appears Karl Stefanovic’s little brother is wasting no time putting his name back out there, letting potential employers know he is ready and more than capable for work.
On Monday, a glowing ad for Peter and his wide-ranging skills popped up in the media newsletter Social Diary.
“Peter Stefanovic has been on the ground for many of the world’s most recent historic events,” the notice, which was posted on behalf of the 37-year-old’s manager Sharon Finnigan, began.
Before adding: “Peter is now available for any upcoming relevant opportunities including ambassador roles and MC/Hosting opportunities.”
“Peter has covered everything from the Iraq war, Presidential elections, Golden Globes and many more over the course of 14+ years. In 2016, Peter released his first autobiography about all his experiences as a foreign correspondent titled Hack in a flak jacket.”
Pete’s job ad comes a month after Channel Nine’s serious shake-up, which saw Peter axed from the network completely and brother Karl replaced on the Today Show after 14 years.
“I’ve had an amazing time at Nine being a foreign correspondent, news reporter and covering some amazing stories for 60 minutes,” Peter said at the time.
“I’ll miss my friends at Nine very much, it has been a huge privilege to work alongside so many great people.”

Peter’s wife Sylvia Jeffreys also left her role as the Today newsreader to pursue a “brand-new” venture within Nine.
While veteran entertainment reporter for Today Richard Wilkins was demoted to Today Extra.
It’s believed both Peter and Karl’s axings were the result of their infamous Ubergate scandal in which they were caught bad-mouthing the Nine network and their colleagues.
Here’s hoping the new year brings new beginnings for both Peter and Karl!
