Penny McNamee is one of the most wholesome members of the Home and Away cast because when she isn’t acting, she can be seen supporting her favourite charities and doting on her family.
While fans are used to Penny sharing insights into her family life with her husband Matt Tooker and her children, Neve, two and Jack, three, they are less acquainted with her close relationship with her dad.
On the weekend, Penny commemorated her relationship with her dad, Peter, by sharing memorable moments from his milestone birthday.
Penny’s dad turned 70, and the family threw him an epic birthday, which included a large marque, flower arraignments, blue balloons and a stage for speeches.
Penny posted a sweet picture of her and her father embracing each other after giving a speech in his honour.
She also shared a picture holding her daughter Neve with her husband, and there were smiles all around as they took time to appreciate life’s big moments.
Penny wrote a gushy caption to accompany the family photos, and her astute dedication to her father proves their relationship is a close one filled with much respect.
“Happy 70th Birthday to my Dad! ❤️❤️❤️ The best of men, the best of fathers. #70andcanstillthrowaparty,” wrote Penny.
Penny also found time to help out the charity Mummies Paying It Forward, which is a local organisation that sends pre-worn kids clothes to vulnerable families in Fiji and Australia.
The actress donated her children’s old clothes and helped the other volunteers sort through the donations.
“Such a beautiful morning with a bunch of my big-hearted girlfriends, having a “Clothes-Sorting-Party” for @mummiespayingitforward.
“A very special, local charity which re-directs pre-loved kids clothes and other items to vulnerable families in Australia and Fiji,” shared Penny on Instagram.
Penny genuinely participates in charity work, and she has been an ambassador for The Shepherd Centre for three years.
She was motivated to support the children charity that teaches deaf and hearing-impaired children to listen and speak through her cousin.
