Paris Jackson has reportedly moved into the guesthouse of her father’s old Encino mansion, according to TMZ.
The 18-year-old, who until now was under the care of her grandmother, has taken the huge step towards adulthood by herself, despite claims of her moving in with her drummer boyfriend Michael Snoddy.
The aspiring actress will reside in the estate’s guesthouse as the main abode undergoes renovations.
While the move seems swift, it’s not been without a few hiccups.
Before she could gain her new-found independence, Paris, who is thought to get an estimated $8-million-a-year allowance from Michael’s estate, had to obtain official permission of the trustees who manage the assets.
The panel quickly granted her this request after she pointed out that, as part her trust, she effectively owns the property.
The Californian mansion was originally purchased by the teen’s grandfather, Joe Jackson, at the peak of the Jackson Five’s success.
The home has allegedly been the residence of all members of the Jackson family at one point or another, but it was Michael who called the manor home until his move to the infamous Neverland Ranch in 1988.
Since the Thriller hitmaker’s untimely death in 2009, the residence has been a cause of a bitter dispute between his mother Katherine and his estate.
Up until her recent move into her father’s old home, Paris has been living with her grandmother Katherine and her brothers Prince, 19, and 14-year-old Blanket at her seven bedroom mansion in Calabasas, California.
And while the platinum blonde beauty moves away from one family member, she gets closer to another.
Paris and her estranged mother, Debbie Rowe, have been reportedly spending some much needed time together after the 57-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer.
According to TMZ, the pair have been visiting each other’s homes as Debbie prepares to undergo chemotherapy in September.

Earlier this year when Paris unfollowed her mother on social media and began to ignore her phone calls, the nurse took to Facebook with a heartbreaking status.
“One of the saddest things in this world is to see a child grow up hating one of their parents because they only got one side of the story,” she wrote.
It is now thought that Paris learnt of her mum’s breast cancer diagnosis through the media and sent a text message afterwards saying “I love you”.
Perhaps the old saying ‘time heals all wounds’ helped this estranged pair to find their way home.
