Not again! Customs search Johnny Depp’s plane for dogs

As his private jet flew into the Gold Coast on Monday, Johnny Depp was forced to wait on the tarmac while customs searched his luggage for - we presume - those trouble-making terriers.

The search was on for Pistol and Boo on Monday as Johnny Depp and his wife, Amber Heard, flew in to the Gold Coast.

Despite customs making the couple – and their private jet – wait on the tarmac for almost an hour while searching their luggage there was no sign of the Yorkshire Terriers, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.

The 51-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star and his 29-year-old wife were reportedly left sitting on the tarmac for almost an hour as customs went through their luggage.

The search comes after the couple smuggled their Yorkshire Terriers into the country in April while Depp was filming the latest instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Once authorities became aware Pistol and Boo were not declared to customs when they arrived in Australia, Senator Barnaby Joyce gave the canines 72 hours to flee the country before being euthanised.

For Pistol and Boo’s sake, Depp’s private jet flew them out just in time. And they haven’t returned, to Barnaby Joyce’s relief.

Depp was pictured in costume and on set today at Raby Bay, where locals took pictures with Jack Sparrow.
