Both being performers, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have grown accustom to sharing the spotlight. Whether it be on stage or on screen, the beloved Australian couple never cease to encourage one another.
And their unwavering support has been proven once more as Nicole, 54, recently joined the country crooner on stage during a performance in Las Vegas.
In the footage, shared to Keith’s Instagram, the actress is beaming as she embraces her husband for an affectionate hug, while Keith, 54, kisses her gently on the cheek.
“What’s your name; where are you from?” the Wild Hearts singer jokingly asks his wife.
The Bombshell actress doesn’t hesitate as she replies: “Nicole Urban.”
While the PDA moment brought many cheers from the adoring crowd, it didn’t take long for Nicole to reveal her true motives for joining her husband on stage.
“I want to get your jacket,” she tells him. “You put it on the floor and I’m worried.”
As Keith and Nicole go in search of the jacket hand-in-hand, the country singer tells the crowd: “She literally said: ‘don’t lose that jacket’. I’m like: ‘how am I going to lose the jacket?’,” before admitting he couldn’t find it.
“It’s gone; you see, you jinxed it,” the 54-year-old joked to Nicole, before the jacket was found with his guitar technician.
Once it was located, Nicole promptly donned the black blazer and bid farewell to the crowd.
“Just a Saturday night in Las Vegas,” Keith told the audience following her exit.
The sweet moment garnered plenty of love from The Voice judge’s Instagram followers, who shared their delight in the comments section.
“I loved seeing Nic she’s so adorable and it was so kind of her to come on stage with you Keith❤️🎸,” one user penned.
“I thought it was so cute when she said “Nicole Urban” 😍,” another penned.
“Beautiful couple! Love you both! 🥰,” a third penned.
This isn’t the first time Nicole has joined Keith on stage. In September last year, during Keith’s benefit concert at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry for those affected by floods, the musician invited his wife to accompany him while signing his guitar.
“If I could just get my wife to put her autograph on it too,” Keith said before Nicole joined him.
“I’ve never been on the stage at the Opry, wow!” The Australia actress said in disbelief.
Nicole and Keith met back in 2005 at a G’Day USA gala – an Australian diplomacy program in the United States. For Nicole, the attraction was instant.
Speaking to American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in 2017, the actress confessed she was smitten with her fellow Australian from the start.
“I remember thinking, I had such a crush on him, and he wasn’t interested in me. He didn’t call me for months”.
Keith, however, justified his hesitation to reach out to the Academy Award winner on the talk show Interview back in 2018, explaining he was simply too nervous.
“Somebody had given me her number and I had it in my pocket for a while. I kept looking at it thinking, ‘If I call this number, she’s going to answer. I don’t know what (to) say'”.
The Blue Ain’t Your Color singer also explained that, at the time he met his future wife, he “wasn’t in a healthy place” and was unsure if the actress would see anything in him.
However, the musician eventually picked up the phone, and the rest was history.
