It was a frenzy earlier this month when fans thought Miley Cyrus had tied the knot with her on-off boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
We can blame her dad Billy Ray Cyrus for the debacle, after he posted a pic to Instagram of Miley wearing a frilly white outfit, which natch fans thought was her wedding gown.
“I’m so happy… you are happy,” he captioned the snap.
Now her sister Brandi Cyrus and mum Tish Cyrus have spoken to Entertainment Tonight, saying they have no idea why fans were so quick to jump conclusions.
“I’m always the last to know,” says Tish, who joked about her invitation getting lost in the mail. “Brandi was like, ‘Why was everybody thinking that?!’”
And Brandi also wondered why anyone would think Miley would wear a boring, billowing number on her big day. After all, her stylish sis wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that down the aisle.
“I was like, ‘[getting married] in that top?! What are you, crazy?!’” says Brandi. “She would have had some fabulous wedding dress, not just, like, the frilly top she was wearing in the photo.”
Tish – who, along with Brandi, will soon be showcasing their own tastes in the new reality show Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design And Conquer – agrees, adding, “If Miley was getting married, it would not be in that dress!”
The future mother-of-the-bride hopes that when the big day does finally arrive, Miley will look to her for help designing her gown.
“Whether I would have done the show or not, I would have always been working on [Miley’s] house or her wedding…or whatever it may be, for all my kids,” says Tish.
“I’m definitely, I’m in there, my kids are everything to me, you know, so no matter what they do I’m there.”

So just what kind of dress will Miley wear down the aisle? According to Life & Style magazine, she’s already picked out her dress – and it’s a showstopper.
“Miley wanted a red, gold and green traditional Hindu wedding dress,” the source tells the mag. “She wants to focus on the spiritual side of marriage and is very interested in Hinduism, so she is looking at locations in Nepal, where Hinduism is a way of life.
“Miley has a real hippie side and wants to embrace that rather than spending millions.”
