Miley Cyrus and Katilynn Carter have been at the centre of wild rumours and reports for weeks now, but it looks as though one simple gesture could clear things up once and for all.
After an emotional on-stage performance at the MTV VMAs on Monday, August 26, Miley’s first public appearance since her split with Liam Hemsworth was announced could not have been more cool, calm and collected.
But there was another certain someone backstage that everyone wanted to know more about, and lo and behold, Miley and her close confidant apparently didn’t mind obliging.
Indeed Kaitlynn, who made headlines with Miley after the pair were pictured kissing and partying together shortly after the break up was announced officially, was spotted backstage as Miley rehearsed and performed at the VMAs.
Many wondered what that might mean given the reports surrounding the pair. Around the time the break up was announced, a source told Page Six that Miley and Kaitynn were “obsessed” with each other.
“They couldn’t keep their hands off each other… There’s no question they’re together,” the source revealed.
And whether you believe the source or not, there’s currently no evidence to suggest otherwise – and it was Miley’s post-VMAs outing that seriously hints that they’re the real deal.

What’s more, it was actually super cute to see them together – Miley was looking bright, bubbly and happy, while Kaitlynn was also seen with a wide grin in the candid pics.

The song itself speaks volumes – the lyrics seem to reference her break up with Liam directly.
What’s more, not only did Miley give one of her most emotional on-stage displays we’ve ever seen, but many also believe she managed to subtly shade Liam Hemsworth in the process with the simple tweak of a lyric.
One line in the song usually goes: “Move on, we’re not 17, I’m not who I used to be. You say that everything changed. You’re right, we’re grown now.”
However, later in the song, Miley repeated the line, ending it with: “You’re right, I’m grown now.”
Hmmm, on purpose perhaps?
Did she or didn’t she? Miley might have subtly shaded Liam in her emotional MTV VMA performance.

“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100 per cent of the time,” she began.
“What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide,” she explained.
Miley’s legion of fans praised the singer for speaking up.
“As long as you are healthy and happy, I am happy. That’s all that matters. I’m so proud to have been a fan of yours since the very beginning. Thank you for always being your genuine self.”
We’re hoping this happy sighting with Kaitlynn means only good things are coming for the talented singer.
