Miley Cyrus gives her most intense interview yet – talks drugs and Liam Hemsworth break-up

Say hello to (another) new Miley…

There must be something in the water this week. Hot off the heels of Brad Pitt’s refreshingly honest interview, Miley Cyrus is the latest star to drop a whole heap of truth bombs in a ‘comeback interview’ with Billboard.

Miley has been re-engaged to Aussie hunk Liam Hemsworth since last year.

And while their road to happily ever after has been rocky, to say the least, Miley has now revealed that she’s thankful they broke up back in 2013. She even told us why they pulled the plug, albeit temporarily.

But once she’d gotten the twerking, rubber foam gloves and nipple pasties out of her system, Miley says she and the Hunger Games hunk, 27, were able to “re-fall for each other” with the two picking up right where they left off in late 2015. They then went public with their rebooted romance at the Falls Festival in Byron Bay, NSW in January 2016.

What’s more, Miley, 24, says she used their rekindled relationship as inspo for her new single ‘Malibu.’

“They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam,” she reveals of writing the song about the Melbourne-born actor. “So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?”

Miley also opened up about her drug use in the no-holds barred interview. New Miley is trying to make some changes…

“I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I’ve ever [gone without it],” she reveals. “I’m not doing drugs, I’m not drinking, I’m completely clean right now! That was just something that I wanted to do.”

She also dissed poor old Ed Sheeran. When her album is described as “pretty singer-songwriter-y,” Miley responds, “Yeah. But not granola. I don’t listen to Ed Sheeran and John Mayer and stuff.”

We guess there are worse things to be described as…
