A Los Angeles court will decide if two alleged victims of child abuse by Michael Jackson can plead their case this week.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck filed claims against Jackson’s estate in 2013 and 2014 for sexual abuse.
But because both claims were filed more than a year after the King of Pop’s death they missed a statutory deadline.
Today the New York Post is reporting Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday, to decide if the case will proceed.
Robson, who is an Australian choreographer, claims Jackson was a predator who repeatedly sexually abused him as a child.
Safecheck, says he was also sexually abused by Jackson. He claims Jackson held a secret wedding ceremony where Safechuck was his bride.
If Judge Beckloff gives Robson, 32, and Safechuck, 36, permission to proceed with their civil claim, new child molestation allegations will likely be revealed in court against Jackson.
Lawyers say Jackson paid out nearly $200 million in hush money to as many as 20 victims, reports the New York Post.
Before his death Jackson denied he molested any children but refused to testify on his own behalf in court.
He consistently evaded questions about his relationship with boys, insisting only that he would never hurt a child.
