Michael Clarke, the former Australian cricket captain, and his wife Kyly Clarke welcome their first child together last week.
Kelsey Lee was born five weeks premature vie emergency caesarean at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, reports Daily Mail.
“It’s happened a lot sooner than we expected but it is as exciting as I thought,” the elated 34 year-old father told Nine News on Monday.
After a press conference for a new property development, Michael spoke about the arrival of Kelsey lee, and he told the media that his daughter and her model mother were both doing well despite Kelsey being in special care for the past seven days.
‘Both Kyly and I are very happy and I wish our little girl was at home at our house but she’s in great hands and she’s being looked after well in hospital,’ the retired cricketer told Seven News.
‘It’s obviously been a real special week for us,’ he added.
