We’ve waited years to find out what the female offspring of Australia’s favourite TV couple Scott and Charlene would look like, and now our dreams have been answered.
And she’s everything we imagined.
Meet the latest member of the Neighbours family, Sarah Ellen, aka Madison, daughter of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovon’s on-screen characters.
The 18-year-old blogger and model recently landed the gig and got a personal congratulations from her TV mum herself.
“Congratulations on your first acting job Sarah and welcome to the neighbourhood!,” the 47-year-old pop princess told NewsCorp.
“A lot has changed since I was in Neighbours, but I have no doubt the family spirit of the cast and crew remains the same.”
Madison will be joining Ramsay St in April to check up on her brother Daniel (Tim Phillips) at the request of their parents, but she quickly finds herself caught up in family turmoil led by her uncle, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).
So, how did she get into character?
“I watched a lot of episodes with Charlene and she was a very feisty and adventurous character. I think Madison has definitely inherited a few of those characteristics.”
Neighbours has been the big break for a lot of Australian stars, including Minogue, and Sarah hopes she follows in their footsteps.
“Kylie’s career has been so successful and I would love to be on that level,” she said.
While also doing modelling and her online work, Sarah plans to head to LA next month for her first shot at pilot season.
