Chrissie Swan, who has since gone on to host The Masked Singer, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a radiant selfie with Packed To The Rafters alum Rebecca Gibney.

The pair were all smiles and looked as thick as thieves in the golden shot.

“So great to see my beautiful friend/soulmate Gibbo yesterday,” Chrissie accompanied the photo. “A national (and my own personal) treasure xxx.”

Rebecca was equally as gushing in the comments below, writing: “Never long enough my darling friend. You are pure joy!! 🙌💗💗.”

While Chrissie was the first to be eliminated on the cooking show, Rebecca managed to make it further in the competition, ending the season in fourth place.

Despite having limited cooking experience, the actress was keen to give it a go – but the nerves hit her the minute she entered the kitchen.

“All of a sudden you feel like you’ve been stripped naked because it’s like, ‘Oh, now it’s just me,” she told TV WEEK.

“I don’t have a script and the cameras are on the whole time and I have no control over this.’ And then the clock starts ticking down.

“I cry every episode!” she added. “You’ll probably get sick to death of seeing me cry.”

But throughout their time in the MasterChef kitchen, the contestants found comfort in each other.

“None of us knew what we were getting ourselves in to and I am so so grateful to each and every one of them for the hugs, the laughs, the tears and the joy,” Rebecca wrote on Instagram about her experience.

“They are all incredibly open hearted funny kind beautiful people and I can’t wait to relive what was truly one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life (for a whole bunch of reasons!).”
