When asked about her reaction to discovering how much Michael had spent, she responded: “I actually felt sick.”

The 32-year-old also shared details of the proposal which took place during a trip to Bundeena, where Michael made his fiancee believe she was meeting up with her friends for a “Met Gala themed party”.

But the ever-glamourous Martha admitted “the timing was bad” as she hadn’t had time to look her best.

“Literally it was the day after Michael and I moved into our apartment. I had no shampoo, I had no makeup, everything was in boxes,” she told the radio hosts.

When Martha arrived at the rented holiday house and saw Michael “shaking like a leaf”, she begged him not to get down on one knee that night.

“I just started saying ‘No, please don’t do it! Don’t do it! I look disgusting! Please, don’t do it! Please just stop, not now, this is not the outfit’,” she recalled.

“And then we just did it anyway. It was really cute… It was also so well planned and thought out.”

Following the proposal, Armans revealed why the engagement ring would be setting trends and called it a “one of a kind divine dream ring.”

“Have you ever seen something so FLAWLESS!” the jewellery designers wrote on Instagram. “Feast your eyes on this stunning Emerald where east meets west. Normally the emerald faces vertically but looks like we have trend setter over here.”

Thanking them in the comments, Michael revealed he’d been part of the creative process.
