Then this week Ashley Irvin, Troy’s TV wife and Justin Fischer, Carly’s TV husband stepped out together and now, Charlene Perera and Mat Lockett are sparking relationship rumours after they shared a giggly dinner date together while joking they were “swingers”.

Charlene and Mat documented their Tuesday night dinner date on social media with smiley snaps and laughter-filled videos. Mat, who was married to Alycia Galbraith on the dating show, shared a selfie of him and Charlene proudly holding their keys with the cheeky caption, “Dinner party 57, bring ya keys! #swingers #afterparty #tuesday #winkparty”.
He then posted a video of the pair, which showed Charlene driving as they laughed and sang along to Gloria Gaynor’s empowering track ‘I Will Survive’.
“Just doing my next car karaoke here with the wonderful Charlene. Just trying to prove she doesn’t hate all men,” Matjoked in the video.
The pair clearly enjoyed each other’s company, as Charlene also posted a smiley snap of the two sharing the same meal – steak and chips – in a pub.
“Slightly less dramatic dinner party with @matty_lockett #nevermindthesinging #notjessicamauboy #melbournelove,” she captioned the shot.
Charlene was married on the show to Patrick Miller and the pair left the show as a couple. However, just a week ago Charlene posted a farewell to MAFS on her Instagram account and while her language was a bit vague, her use of past tense when relating to her relationship with Patrick, and then her post sign off “Love awaits…” makes the message pretty easy to work out that the pair had split.
Meanwhile, Patrick wrote a more telling post detailing the end of their relationship.
“Charlene – my heartfelt wishes for you on your journey for love as we embark on our lives post MAFS…as also the journey for love will also continue in mine.. I wish nothing but the best for you and your future. One thing I do know is you will always have my back!”
While Charlene and Mat’s dinner date could very well be a couple of mates catching up, you know we’ll be watching this space to see if the sparks fly!
