On Wednesday, paramedics were called to the 52-year-old’s home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles at about 9:40am.

US tabloid outlets say someone called the local fire department and alerted the authorities that Perry was having a stroke, and he was later transported to a nearby hospital.

A Los Angeles Fire Department rep told Variety that paramedics attended Perry’s address for an “unspecified medical request”.

“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital,” Perry’s publicist said.
