Nicole Kidman caused quite a scene earlier this year, when she jetted back home to begin filming her new TV series Nine Perfect Strangers in Byron Bay.
The $100 million project will see Nicole, 53, work as both an actor and producer, and Woman’s Day hears her 22-year-old niece, Lucia Hawley, is pushing for a role.
“Now Aunty Nic is in town for work, Lucia thinks this could be her moment to launch her own career,” an insider explains of the rising star, who is the eldest daughter of her sister, Antonia, 50.
“Her big dream is modelling but she’s keen to try acting as well. She’s asked Nic for a part in the show, which is being considered.
“Nic will say yes – she has a soft spot for her niece but also thinks she has talent to burn,” the source adds.
Lucia and Nicole are understood to share a close relationship, with Lucia even joining her famous Aunt on the red carpet for several A-list events.
Back in 2018, she joined Nicole for the AACTA Awards alongside Nicole’s mum Janelle Ann Kidman – giving fans a rare glimpse of three glorious generations of Kidman women.
Lucia’s mum Antonia, who is Nicole’s sister, also shares plenty of personal snaps of the pair together.
In July, she posted an image of herself and her two grown up children writing: “Family dinner.”
“3 peas in a pod!” One follower commented.
Another wrote: “Gosh, you blink and all your babies have grown up.”
We certainly can’t argue with that – next stop: Hollywood!
