Lisa Wilkinson has shared her 2023 resolution, but it’s not one of the common ‘eat less junk food’, ‘get more sleep’, etc kind of promises we make ourselves at the beginning of every year – this resolution is an inspiring one that everyone should get behind.
Though it is a ‘weight loss’ resolution, it’s not about losing body weight -instead getting rid of the weight of others opinions.
The TV personality’s ‘resolution’ that she shared was a photo from the account ‘strongwomen.vibes’.
The image shows a woman’s leg with a message written on it: “The best weight you’ll ever lose is the weight of other people’s opinion of you”.
Admitting that she’s not one to do a New Year’s resolution, the former The Project host captioned the photo with, ‘I’ve never been one for New Year’s Resolutions. In 2023 I’m making an exception though, for this blinding gem of wisdom… Who wants to join me?’
Paris Hilton must have agreed with Lisa’s sentiment as she commented on the Instagram post saying, “Love this!😍🙌”
Comedian and TV personality Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes even got on board with the inspirational message, providing his own motivational quote by commenting on Lisa’s post with ‘No one thinks about anyone for more than a fleeting moment. We are all dust the blink of an eye. Let it all go.’
It has been just three months since Lisa announced her departure from The Project – which also came just a month after her co-host Carrie Bickmore also decided to step down.
After five years at the desk, Lisa revealed the “toxicity” emitting from the media was impacting herself and those around her.
We’re still waiting to hear what Lisa’s next move will be, though it will be with Channel Ten as she made it clear when she made her Project departure announcement: “I have had a ball. But for me right now it’s time for a change. To be clear. I’m not leaving Ten and we’re looking at some very exciting work ideas ahead.”
