She mightn’t have been invited to his wedding, but Lisa Wilkinson has shown she’s still in the know when it comes to her former Today co-host Karl Stefanovic.
In a rare moment of honesty, Lisa weighed in on the newly married Karl during The Sunday Project, and what she had to say might surprise you.

Karl’s Mexican nuptials to Jasmine Yarbrough was covered as en entertainment news item on Sunday night’s episode of the show and following the segment, the camera cut to Lisa who weighed in on her former colleague’s wedding.
“It’s lovely to see. They look very happy,” she mused.
She continued by saying: “I think they’ve had a couple of rough years. And it’ll be nice to get on with the rest of their lives. Together.”

It wasn’t long ago that Lisa confirmed she had not been invited to Karl’s wedding, sparking rumours of a rift between the two.
But despite this, it appears Lisa, who hosted Today with Karl for over a decade is keen to put the past behind her going by her kind words on Sunday evening.
The lavish three day celebrations from his wedding in Mexico caught national attention over the weekend as the couple said ‘I do’.

Lisa and Karl hosted Today for over a decade together.
The 44-year-old Gold Logie winner and the 34-year-old socialite exchanged vows at the One&Only Palmilla resort in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico in front of 200 friends and family.
In true larrikin fashion, Karl’s first words to his new bride were: “Holy sh- -! You’re hot!”
The pair didn’t do things by halves – during the ceremony, they were serenaded by a mariachi band and were wed on top of a platform, outdoors.
According to an insider, Jasmine giggled through the entire ceremony, while her friend Sophie, gave a reading which was a verse from a Van Morrison song.
Other guests from the wedding included Sylvia Jeffries, who is married to Karl’s brother, Julie Bishop, Grant Kenny and Mick Doohan.

Joining Lisa on the not invited list was of course Karl’s ex-wife Cass Thorburn, who didn’t let Karl’s wedding weekend go by without putting her own thoughts out to the world.
Taking to Instagram, his former wife of over 20 years shared an image of popular book The Handmaid’s Tale along with the caption: “A good book for my journey. An excellent tv series that is an emotional rollar coaster for women. Well worth watching!”
While the post didn’t directly reference Karl, it seems Cass was proving a point that she is still stronger than ever despite enduring the hardships of a divorce.
In September, she was praised for her appearance on Studio 10 as she discussed her relationship status.
“Do I need to have a man to continue on?” She told host Sarah Harris.
Thorburn also opened up to The Weekly about her tumultuous last two years.
“Last year, I declared that Karl really was dead to me, a man I no longer know, but the children still have their father,” she said.
“The flip-side of that is I feel like we’re dead to his family and almost anyone from our old life.”
“There has been practically no contact. I feel like we’ve been discarded and disposed of, replaced by a whole new line-up of starters.”
