While she is used to being in the spotlight as a champion swimmer, Lisa Curry is the first to platform the achievements of her nearest and dearest, proving she is their number one fan.
Latest to get a shoutout from the former athlete was her husband, Elvis impersonator Mark Tabone after he performed at a record-breaking show at Hamer Hall in Victoria.
Sharing a slew of photos from the big event, Lisa began her tribute: “What a night.”
She continued: “Last night was brilliant with my hubby @mark66andrew performing in front of an audience of 2500 and 109 musicians and singers backing him which made the Australian Book of Records for biggest Elvis Tribute Show in the World.
“A standing ovation to finish off ! Wow … it was just amazing, and I’m so proud of him 🥰 Well done my beautiful xx.”
Appreciative of his wife’s support, the performer commented: “❤️ Thanks Babe.”
Meanwhile, the Elvis impersonator also documented his biggest performance so far on his own Instagram, saying he was “still buzzing” from the show.
“We made history today with 109 musicians and singers on stage , Thankyou John St Peeters, @themartyrhone , Tony Minniti & everyone on stage , behind the scenes & the 2500 people in the audience today !!!
He ended his post with a special nod to ‘The King’ himself, writing: “‘I learned very early in life that: ‘Without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain’t got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend-without a song.’ So I keep singing a song’ – Elvis Presley.”

“Thank you @themaskedsingerau for inviting me to be part of this really fun show. And thanks to my vocal coach @garypintomusic …what a gem you are and a beautiful human. I ll teach you how to swim butterfly for the next Olympics 😂,” she wrote.
