After being in a relationship for a decade with someone, you’d hope once it comes time for it to end, there would be a heartfelt discussion or at least some sort of face-to-face closure before the two parties go their separate ways.
But according to new reports, that’s not exactly what happened when Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ marriage collapsed.
Sources close to The Hunger Games star have claimed to Page Six that Liam was “blindsided” by the split, and only discovered the couple was done for good by finding out via social media.
Damn, Miley, that is ice cold.

While Liam has kept relatively quiet since their break-up was made public last month, Miley has not been shy when it comes to posting all over social media.
As well as sharing cryptic quotes and denying cheating claims on her own Instagram account, Miley has posed with new fling Kaitlynn Carter in photos shared on Kaitlynn’s account.
The US popstar has also released break-up ballad Slide Away, which not-so-subtly alludes to her split with Liam in both the lyrics and video clip.

Liam, meanwhile, has only publicly mentioned the split by writing on Instagram: “Hi all Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”
Miley and Liam officially broke up after less than one year of marriage in August this year.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” Miley’ rep told US media outlet PEOPLE in a statement at the time.
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” the statement continued.
“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Miley and Liam met in 2008 on the set of The Last Song, a romantic movie based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.
They went public with their relationship in 2010 and became engaged in 2012, but broke it off a year later and then reunited in 2015 before their low-key wedding in December 2018.
Liam and Miley were married less than a year.
