Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially broken up after less than one year of marriage.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” Miley Cyrus‘ rep told US media outlet PEOPLE in a statement.

“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
It comes as Miley was photographed sharing a steamy kiss with Kaitlynn Carter, Brody Jenner’s ex-wife during a holiday to Italy. Kaitlynn and Brody’s split was announced last week.
Meanwhile, Liam was spotted earlier this week hanging out in his home country of Australia.

Rumours of a split have been swirling for weeks, intensifying when Miley declared at Glastonbury in July that she was “f–king sick of men”.
Just days later, Hunger Games star Liam removed his wedding ring. The Aussie hunk, 29, was spotted looking glum – and his ring finger noticeably bare – while on a coffee run in LA.
Sources told Woman’s Day last month there was trouble in paradise for Liam and Miley, 26, who only tied the knot in December last year.
Rumours of a split intensified last month when Miley declared she was “f–king sick of men” and days later Liam took off his wedding ring.
(Image: Getty Images)“Liam feels like Miley is going off the rails again, and he just doesn’t like being around her when she’s like that,” said the insider, noting that the singer’s wild child persona was believed to be the cause of their split in 2013.
“He says he needs time to figure out what he wants.”
The pair had barely been seen together in weeks, with Liam spending time with his mum and dad.
“Liam knows that Miley is a free spirit, but sometimes she goes too far,” reckons a spy close to the couple.
A source told OK! magazine that Miley got a tongue-lashing from her unimpressed husband after their attendance at the MET Gala this year.
“She was licking his face for the cameras on the red carpet, then grinding on people on the dance floor inside and grabbing her crotch,” the source said.
“He gets turned off when she acts up for the cameras. He really doesn’t like that side of her, because he is the total opposite.”
Miley and Liam met in 2008 on the set of The Last Song, a romantic movie based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.
They went public with their relationship in 2010 and became engaged in 2012, but broke it off a year later and then reunited in 2015 before their low-key wedding in December 2018.
