In an act of true love, Lee Elliott has dedicated an Instagram post to his girlfriend, Georgia Love to mark one year since they first met on the TV show, The Bachelorette in 2016.
The loved-up couple has been dating for just under a year, but fans already assume they will follow in the Bachelor alumni footsteps of Anna and Tim, and get engaged.
Lee’s touching post reads:
“One year ago today whilst out walking my donkey I randomly met not only my best friend but the love of my life. I can’t believe it’s only been a year, I feel like I’ve known you my whole life @georgiealove”
While we all take a moment to re-watch the entire meet cute with donkey, let’s all also remember how they started off both loving puns, and never stopped.
But not to be outdone, Georgia also shared a (much longer) but still emotionally fuelled photo to commemorate the special night meeting Lee for the first time.
Her caption reads:
“I cannot believe it’s been a year since this night! A year since my life indelibly changed as 15 guys stepped out of a limo to meet me and one happened to be out walking his donkey just at the right time.
A year since he first made me laugh, gave me his jacket and looked at me with the most mesmerising eyes I’ve ever looked into. I began to fall for him that very moment and I haven’t stopped since.
The Bachelorette was easily the most amazing, rewarding, positive, fun, life-changing and simply best thing I’ve ever done. I’ll never forget that first night for so many reasons but the most unforgettable is that it was the night my one and only @leeroyelliott walked into my life. To love!
(NB. It’s also a year since I stacked down the stairs in front of 16 guys and a whole friggin television crew. But we try to forget that part)”
Although we still have trouble forgiving Georgia for the heartbreak she caused Matty J, she and Lee deserve each other’s adorable love dedications.
