Congratulations are in order for Lauren Brant and Barry Hall, with a source confirming to Woman’s Day exclusively the pair welcomed a son on Sunday evening at a Gold Coast hospital.
And they’ve named their first child Miller.
“Coincidentally, Miller also happens to be the same name for Barry’s ex girlfriend Kylie Stray, the now wife of Biggest Loser host Shannan Ponton, whose daughter is called Milla,” the insider tells us exclusively.
Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, Lauren shared a sweet black and white shot of her and Barry holding Miller’s tiny hand.
“Our world is now perfect! Welcome to the world our little man Miller Hall @barryh01,” the new mum penned.
It’s been a long road to parenthood for the couple.
In 2015, Lauren’s engagement to Warren Riley came to a crashing halt after it was revealed she’d had an affair with her Aladdin and his Wondrous Lamp co-star, Beau Ryan.
At the time, Warren told Woman’s Day he discovered his wife-to-be was cheating after he unearthed text messages on her phone.
“It’s kind of a punch in the stomach. I felt completely sick,” Warren told Woman’s Day.
Meanwhile, in April 40-year-old Barry told the Daily Mail Australia his partner had put the scandal behind her.
“I’m sure if she had her time again she wouldn’t want that to happen, but she’s moved on from it,” he insisted.
Barry’s had his fair share of heartbreak with his three-and-a-half year marriage to Sophie Raadschelder ending in 2015.
Following his retirement from AFL in 2011, the sports star battled with depression.
“I didn’t get out of bed, I didn’t answer mates’ phone calls, I was eating terrible, I was drinking heavily. It was a tough time. And look, I didn’t know it at that stage, but… that was a form of depression,” he told SBS’ Insight.
“I didn’t know anything about it because, you know, we’re big tough burly men who don’t get depressed.”
But just a few years later and Barry says he’s a changed man who can’t wait to be a father.
“I’ll change the nappies. They can spew on me, poo on me, wee on me, whatever they want to do. I’m ready. I’ve been ready for years,” Barry told Stellar magazine in February.
The former Hi-5 star and the ex-AFL hero first met on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2015.
The 28-year-old recently revealed that she had a conversation with Barry in the jungle, who had just separated from his wife Sophie at the time, about having kids.
“He was telling me how he wants children,” Lauren explained during a radio interview.
“I said ‘how many do you want?’ And he said ‘four’ and I said ‘me too, maybe I’ll give them to you one day – just kidding.”
Clearly, she has made good on her promise to the AFL legend.
A huge congratulations to the new family-of-three!
