In an interview with Access Hollywood Kim Kardashian opened up about how her relationship with her hubbie of one-year began.
“It was more me pursuing him,” the Armenian beauty revealed, before adding: “I think it was six months after I was newly-single in like 2012, I was like why not?”
The reality star explained that the pair had met on a project years earlier and there were “sparks” but they were both in a relationship at the time, but they occasionally kept in contact.
It wasn’t until her marriage to Kris Humphries ended that the reality star and her rapper husband were both single and able to turn their spark into a fully-fledged fire.

Kim, not being one for waiting, told the reporter: “I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again. He didn’t, and so I called him and I said, ‘Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and say I told you so, something?'”
It took her a minute to work up the courage to call the Grammy Award-winner though: “But then in my head I was like, ‘You know what? Screw it.’ Like, this is probably what I’ve been waiting for, it’s been in front of my face.”
The 34-year-old gushed over her husband as she reminisced about the early days of their romance: “He’s always been a good friend to me, like, we’ve always been there for each other – then he invited me to a fashion show of his in Paris and I went, and then the magic happened.”
It turned out to be one of Kim’s greatest decisions as the couple now have beautiful daughter North West together and the enviable title as one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples. Good on you Kimmy for making the first move!
