Last year, John Kennerley suffered catastrophic injuries that resulted in paralysis after he fell while holidaying in Coffs Harbour.
His beloved wife Kerri-Anne has been by his side throughout the entire ordeal.
But now the 76-year-old has reason to smile again.
This week, KAK’s hubby and his son, Simon, joined the TV personality to attend Matt Moran’s restaurant Chiswick’s fifth birthday.
Also attending the swanky affair was new mum Allison Langdon, who was joined by partner and birthday boy Mike Willesee.
The couple welcomed their first child, baby boy Mack James Willesee, earlier this year.
John’s son Simon, who was living overseas when the tragic fall occurred, returned back to Australia to help out as his father’s full-time carer.
Kerri-Anne couldn’t have been more proud that John was able to come out for the party.
“It’s fantastic, I’m so happy,” she gushed to the Daily Telegraph.
The past year has been hellish for the Aussie icon and her husband.
Speaking candidly to Sunday Night, she said: “I hate this new life to be quite frank. I hate it. It’s just awful.”
Thankfully, the 76-year-old’s condition has improved immensely.
After nine months in hospital, KAK got her Christmas miracle when John returned to their Sydney home in Woollahra.
We’re so happy to see John out and about!
