Katie Holmes finally ‘fesses up on who the better kisser was on Dawson’s Creek

One of life’s biggest questions… Are you Team Dawson or Team Pacey?
Dawson's Creek

During her visit to James Corden’s The Late Late Show, Katie Holmes was asked which Dawson’s Creek co-star, Joshua Jackson or James Van Der Beek, was the better kisser … And the 37-year-old was instantly transported back to her Joey Potter days.

Unsurprisingly she found it very difficult to answer, after all she did date her real-life Pacey aka Joshua Jackson.

Giggling, Katie was reluctant to kiss and tell.

Squirming, she laughed and replied, “I can’t!”

Fellow guest, Ryan Reynolds, stepped in, “I went to high school with Josh and I can tell you right now he’s a terrific kisser,” he joked.

Clearly making a decision, Katie quipped, “Well, if that’s what he’s saying … “

Katie famously dated the 37-year-old actor after meeting on set.

Back in 1998, the actress opened up about the relationship in a Rolling Stone cover story.

“I had really good luck this past year and I had a really wonderful, amazing experience,” she said at the time.

Pacey vs. Dawson… We know who we’d pick!

“I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year, I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable.”

While Katie is clearly Team Pacey, she did spill about her first kiss.

“I do remember my first. I was 18 and it was on Dawson’s Creek,” she admitted to the British host.

“It was a guest star and it’s so awkward because with a first kiss in life if it doesn’t go well you’re kind of like, ‘Oh, I gotta get home.’ And you never have to deal with that person [again]. But on screen you’re gonna have to have lunch and probably work again tomorrow. Also it’s a little bit awkward.”

But don’t worry, it was far from awkward for the pretty brunette, who reassured the host that it was good!
