Foxy morons, listen up!
A piece of Australian television history is up for sale.
Kath and Kim’s ‘Fountain Lakes’ home is on the market, with the four bedroom waterfront property expected to fetch close to $1.5 million.
It’s the third time in five years “Chateau Kath” has been placed on the market.
While the show was set in the fictional suburb of Fountain Lakes, in reality the house is actually located 35 kilometres out of Melbourne’s CBD, in the south-eastern suburb of Patterson Lakes.
While Domain lists median prices for the area around the $753,000 mark, the house’s famous past means it will sell for a lot more.
It was sold in 2011 for $1.23 million and then it sold again just three years later, during the property boom, for $1.3 million in 2014.
All we know is that whoever ends up buying the house should take a leaf out of Sharon Strzelecki’s book and celebrate in the best way possible: with Barbeque Shapes and a bottle of Baileys.
