Things might not be all roses for Kate Ritchie at the moment but she’s handling life’s curve balls, such as the trial separation from husband Stuart Webb, with grace.
With Stuart living in their new home in the Southern Highlands and Kate in their house in Sydney, the radio host is leaning on her closest friends for support – including ex-best friend and Home and Away co-star Bec Hewitt.
“Kate reached out to Bec when her marriage started to fall apart,” reveals our source.
“Bec’s always had a huge heart and she loves nurturing others. She and Kate might have had their differences in the past but she would never let down a friend in need.”
Meeting up for a girls’ night recently in Sydney, Kate – mum to two-year-old Mae – couldn’t have looked happier.

“Precious company. Even after all these years,” she wrote beside a photo of herself, Bec, Seven’s head of drama Julie McGauran and Foxtel publicist Victoria Richards, adding the hashtags #grateful and #outonatuesday.”
The mother-of-one is looking to her past for guidance in more ways than one.
She also recently returned to Sydney’s Palm Beach, where Home and Away is filmed.
Kate, who played the beloved character Sally Fletcher for over two decades on the long-running soapie, took to Instagram to share with her some 112k followers a rather telling message.
“It doesn’t quite solve the big issues like it used to but continues to have its claws in my heart and offer me some quiet ☀️ #palmbeach #summerbay #stillhaventbeentothelighthouse,” she penned alongside a sweet selfie.
In another post from the same outing, the 38-year-old reflected, “Sometimes you’ve just got to put your toes in the sand. #palmy.”
