Karl Stefanovic is going to be a dad for the fourth time in 2020, but it seems his friends are the ones he needs to keep in line!
Shortly after the Today Show confirmed the news of his wife Jasmine Yarbrough’s pregnancy with a paparazzi photo, Karl’s friends were quick to post some cheeky comments of their own.
Karl announced wife Jasmine’s pregnancy with his trademark humour by sharing a paparazzi shot of himself shirtless at the beach and addressing his recent weight gain.
“After a great deal of speculation…the rumours are true,” he captioned the snap.
But we couldn’t help but laugh when his Nine colleagues and famous friends posted their own funny remarks on his post.
Nine newsreader Leila McKinnon joked, “Oh phew I thought you were just getting fat 😅” before sharing a sincere message of congratulations whilst Richard Wilkins simply commented, “Twins ? Xx”
Meanwhile Nova radio host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald quipped, “Congrats mate, can’t wait to babysit that beautiful little keg.”
The Amazing Race‘s Beau Ryan’s one word comment of “Daddy” was one-upped only by Deb Knight who remarked “Big daddy!!”
It seems like Karl’s former colleagues are excited to welcome him back to the Today family, but Karl himself was surprised by the decision to appoint himself and Allison Langdon as the co-hosts.
“I am as shocked about this as everyone else,” Karl told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“I thought my time was up, but then, when I was sounded out about it, it got me thinking,” he said, calling it a “big job with enormous pressures”… “but also without question the best live TV job in Australia.”

Karl’s first child with Jasmine is his third child overall. The TV journalist shares three children with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn- Jackson, 19, Ava, 13 and River, 12.
A report by the Daily Telegraph first sparked pregnancy rumours when they revealed that Karl told not only his friends and three children, but his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn as well, out of courtesy.
“Jas and Karl are over the moon,” a friend also told the publication. “They are very happy.”
