Today host Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine Yarbrough have revealed their plans for a luxury transformation of their Sydney home.
Located in Castlecrag on Sydney’s north shore, the property was originally purchased in 2021 for $3.2 million, with the home rented out by the couple within three months of ownership.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the couple has lodged a new development plan with Willoughby Council that will fully demolish their modest three-bedroom 1960s abode to make way for an updated deluxe five-level mansion.
Currently described by the development application as a ‘dated single-storey’, the upgraded home will utilise natural materials throughout to further accentuate the reinvented modern design.

Under the plan, the new property will have a price tag of $4.5 million and will be home to five bedrooms and five bathrooms with an added pool room, swimming pool, and spa.
The application also sees the introduction of a 102 sqm underground living space, three-car garage, and entertainment room to further modernise the property into a luxurious family home for years to come.
The new proposal is not the first time Stefanovic has made a change to their Sydney home, with the couple lodging a vegetation management application in 2022 to remove a tree from the rear of their property.
Despite the proposal possessing great attention to design detail, the development is still awaiting approval due to the proposed plan currently not complying with local planning regulations.

The duo have recently been spotted in Noosa celebrating wife Jasmine’s mother Cheryl’s birthday alongside family.
Stefanovic also recently marked his daughter Willow’s 18th birthday with a heart-warming Instagram tribute.
“Happy birthday to our 18 year old goddess. I’m so proud of you. I will love you forever. And beyond,” he wrote alongside a series of photos of himself and Willow throughout the years.
The couple split their time between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast.
