Cassandra Thorburn and Karl Stefanovic’s oldest son rung in a very special milestone over the weekend – his 21st!
And it looks like Jackson Stefanovic’s birthday will be one he remembers for years to come with his proud mother sharing a slew of touching photos from their celebrations.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday evening, Cass revealed her son celebrated in style with lawn bowls followed by an intimate family dinner.
“A fantastic 21st birthday weekend. Wings to fly #howiloveyouson,” the mother-of-three penned alongside the album.
Cass, Jackson and younger sister Ava enjoyed a family dinner to mark the occasion.

(Image: @cassthorburn/Instagram)On Jackson’s actual birthday, which fell on Friday August 28, Cass penned a heartfelt tribute to her oldest child with a collection of adorable throwback photos from Jackson’s childhood.
“21 years ago today I became a mum for the first time… Happy 21st to my super hero son… who has brought so much joy to his siblings and I with his contagious laugh,” the children’s author mused.
Cass and Jackson share an incredibly close bond with the 21-year-old previously telling Woman’s Day: “My mother is the most extraordinary person.”
“Watching her, I’m reminded how she gives everything 100 per cent, whether that’s being the world’s best mother, or just nailing the cha-cha-cha. She is amazing,” he explained during his mother’s appearance on Dancing With The Stars last year.

(Image: @cassthorburn/Instagram)Since Karl’s divorce from Cassandra Thorburn, Jackson has had a complicated relationship with his famous dad, only reuniting with him when he married Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico in December 2018.
Jackson, who has deferred studying music after starting a degree course last year, championed his mum following the public divorce, telling Woman’s Day in a previous interview that “someone had to step up and protect her.”
However behind-the-scenes, the pair have been working on their relationship.
Even Cassandra, who has told friends of Jackson’s struggle with his parents’ divorce and the acrimony that followed, says she’s hopeful the father and son can mend their relationship.

Karl shares Jackson, 21, daughter Ava, 14, and son River, 12, with ex-wife Cass and in May this year, welcomed daughter Harper with second wife Jasmine.
Karl has had a rocky relationship with his son but it appears things are on the mend.
