According to a well-placed source, it’s looking like Karl, 48, and wife Jasmine, 39, might just have the edge after the couple lodged a grand plan proposal to their local council to bulldoze their unrenovated digs on Sydney’s lower north shore and build a brand spanking new multistorey, five-bedroom, five bathroom home, complete with a pool room, spa and swimming pool, which comes with a hefty price tag of $4.5 million!

Since Karl and Cass sold their luxury home for more than $9 million in 2019, “they’ve both attacked the reno market with gusto!” the source reveals to Woman’s Day.

After their divorce, Cass, 52, has opted for a rumoured $2.3 million home just a few kilometres from her former marital house.

“She’s put in a workable extra bedroom loft extension for her daughter Willow, who was doing her final year of school last year,” our spy adds.

Could the renovations be a sign they’re growing their family?!

BIGGER IS BETTER

During their 21-year marriage, it was no secret Karl and Cass had the knack of taking an ordinary old house and turning it into something special, and while the Nine presenter “will stop at nothing” to build his new luxury family home, he will have to overcome a massive hurdle first.

“The plans before council are eye-watering, and while the previous place he shared with Cass was three levels, this one is potentially five,” says the spy.

It remains to be seen if Sydney’s Willoughby City Council will approve their grand plans, but that may not be the only curveball Karl and Jasmine face.

“If the locals start objecting, it could be tied up in red tape for months, if not years,” says the source.

The application reportedly sees plans for a 102sqm underground living space, which has led some to believe the couple are looking to expand their family and give two-year-old daughter Harper a sibling!
