Karl Stefanovic and his girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough have put on a loved up display at the Justin Cassin show at MBFW in Sydney on Monday.
The couple held hands as they sat front row and chatted to their entourage, made up of Jasmine’s look-alike sister Jade, Karl’s Today co-star Richard Wilkins both of their mums.
Strength in numbers, right?
And in a new interview, Karl has revealed who he was there for – his colleague Richard’s son Christian Wilkins, who was a model for the show.
“We are just here to support Christian,” Karl told The Daily Telegraph.
Christian is also a close friend of Jasmine’s.
Meanwhile the 33-year-old, who runs her own label Mara & Mine, looked right at home with the fash-pack in leather trousers, a black top, a white fur coat and silver brogues. While Karl, 42, looked dapper in a navy suit.
This marks Karl and Jasmine’s first official public outing since news of their romance broke last year.
It’s believed the duo spent Mother’s Day in Queensland, where both of their mothers reside.
The father-of-three, who holidayed with shoe designer Jasmine’s parents and her brother on a recent trip to Mexico, is believed to have grown very close to the Yarbrough family.
“Karl and Jasmine went to stay with her parents twice while she was in Australia, and Karl was desperate to prove to her family that he’s really serious about her,” a source close to the pair previously told Woman’s Day.
They added: “He made a point of taking her dad to one side and telling him he’s genuinely in love and this is in no way a rebound or fling.”
News of the couple’s getaway comes just days after Karl reportedly finalised his divorce with his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn.
According to The Sunday Telegraph the 42-year-old has given his ex-wife over $6 million worth of assets and will continue to pay child support for their three children Jackson, 17, Ava, 12, and River, 10.
It’s believed Karl and Cass will share joint custody of the kids and the Gold Logie winner was cooperative in the financial agreements.
It’s also been claimed Karl, who is paid a rumoured $3 million a year, was given $500, 000 worth of assets, including his Mercedes.
The pair have since sold their family home in Lindfield while Cass is living in their $8 million mansion on the water in Cremorne.
“There was always the sense that it would be a big settlement and obviously not in his favour,” an insider told the publication, before describing the end result as “tough” on Karl.
“He was quite prepared to walk away with nothing, hand everything over with the one condition that he be able to see his children whenever he wanted,” the source added.
