Julie Bishop and her partner David Panton have broken open after eight years of dating.
The Sydney property developer ended things with the former foreign minister at the end of June 2022, as per the Sydney Morning Herald.
“I’m going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future,” Panton said in a statement. “I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.”
Bishop has yet to comment on the news.
The break up comes very soon after the pair were spotted dining with Prince Charles at St James’ Palace in the UK for the Prince’s Trust Australia.
Julie documented the occasion on Instagram, sharing multiple photos of herself and David at the elegant event.
“Dinner at St James’s Palace hosted by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and President of @princes.trust.au,” she wrote.
“As Chair of the Trust I attended Prince’s Trust Week in London recently with colleagues and patrons from the @princestrust group 🇦🇺🇨🇦🇳🇿🇺🇸🇬🇧and our global network.”

Julie and David met when she was in the thick of her political career as Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and are believed to have begun dating around 2014.
Reigning from Melbourne, David once ran a vineyard in Melbourne with his now ex-wife Karen.
After moving to Sydney in 2014, it’s understood that he met Julie around the same time he was working as a property developer.
Speaking of David in a 2019 interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Perth-local Julie explained how they maintained their relationship long distance.
“[David and I] meet constantly, travel together and travel overseas to keep it fresh,” she said in the interview.
