Is it really finally over?
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard appear to have reached a divorce settlement in what has been one of the most acrimonious splits in Hollywood history.
According to TMZ, this means that Amber has also dropped her restraining order against her former husband.
The report says the 30-year-old chose to dismiss the case without prejudice, which means she can never refile the order either.
Sources revealed to TMZ that the 53-year-old actor has agreed to pay his former spouse $7 million ($AU9.09 million ), which is inclusive of lawyers’ fees to completely drop the case and move on.
She reportedly had been asking for $1 million more than that.
The pair then released a joint statement that read: “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.”
“Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”
It continued: “Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.
“There will be no further public statements about this matter.”
The blonde actress does not state how much of the settlement will go to charity.
The pair say their actions were from love… take a look at where it all began in the video below to decide for yourself. Post continues.
News of the settlement comes just days after a video allegedly showing Johnny smashing glasses in a fit of rage was leaked to the media, as well as a claim by Amber that Johnny left her a message in blood after he sliced off the tip of his finger in anger.
Meanwhile, Billy Bob Thornton has broken his silence and denied Johnny’s alleged claims Amber had an affair with him.
“Amber never cheated on Johnny with Billy Bob,” a rep for Billy Bob told E! News.
