Now, 20 years on from his final episodes, it’s his heart that has been stolen for good as it’s revealed the 41-year-old tied the knot in a secret ceremony.

The Chicago Fire star wed his long-term partner Kali Woodruff, a research scientist from Neptune Beach Florida in a low-key affair surrounded by just a few family and friends.

The happy couple’s nuptial took place on June 27th – a date which honoured Kali’s grandparents four-decade-long marriage – in Neptune Beach.

The couple have been dating since 2014.

Talking to The Daily Telegraph Jesse revealed the wedding was a bright moment in an otherwise devastating year.

“Despite a spike in COVID, a venue change, a Saharan dust plume, not to mention a torrential thunderstorm, we made it across the line on our wedding day, and I’m a very lucky man.”

“What a silver lining to 2020. She’s smart, pretty and way ahead of her years. We’re very happy. She is my port in every storm, and we’re already excited to be moving on to the next phase of our lives.’

Kali and Jesse’s special day faced many roadblocks.

Jesse moved to the United States not long after finishing up on Ramsay Street, and has become one of our most talented exports starring in hit show House and film Uptown Girls before landing his most recent gig, Chicago Fire.

The Melbourne-born actor met his now wife Kali at a music festival in Chicago and have been dating since 2014.

It’s not the first time Jesse has popped the question, however, dating his House co-star Jennifer Morrison from 2004 before proposing in 2006. The pair sadly called it quits a year later.

We’re sending our congratulations to the newly-weds (and secretly nursing our broken hearts over our now taken teenage crush).
