Now, UK singer Jess Glynne still can’t believe she’s going to be performing at the country’s biggest TV awards night ‒ the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards.

The event will be held at The Star on Queensland’s Gold Coast on July 1. It’s the first time the awards have been staged outside of Melbourne.

“I’m so excited to be a part of it,” Jess, 28, tells TV WEEK.

“My mum was obsessed with Neighbours and Home And Away when I was growing up, so I used to watch those shows every day. And I just love Kylie Minogue.”

Jess Glynne is set to perform at the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards.

The singer, whose hits “Hold My Hand” and “Real Love” have been top of the charts in recent years, knows all eyes will be on her when she takes to the Logies stage.

“I’ll always be nervous at any performance, so I’ll have that going on,” she says. “But more than anything, I’m grateful I’ve been asked to perform.

“At any event, if people are sitting down for a long time, you really want to give them a good time.”

Jess is keeping tight-lipped about what track she’ll perform, but says she’s going to squeeze in more than one song!

“If I’m allowed, I’ll do a medley!” she laughs.

It’s not the singer’s first visit to our shores. Besides touring with UK drum and bass group Rudimental, Jess has also travelled along Australia’s east coast.

“When I was 19, I did a bus tour with my best friend,” she recalls. “We went to Sydney, Brisbane, Fraser Island and Cairns. It was so much fun ‒ but I feel old now, because it was almost 10 years ago!”
