Jesinta Franklin’s mother Valerie must be one very happy grandmother-to-be after the model all but confirmed she was expecting her first child with Lance ‘”Buddy'”Franklin last week.
Jesinta – who previously said her mum couldn’t wait for her to have children – stepped out bearing what appeared to be a tiny baby bump as she enjoyed a day out on Sydney Harbour with AFL star Buddy Franklin and friends.
The exciting news comes after Jesinta stepped down from her role as David Jones ambassador – which insiders believe is a sign she’s scaling back her commitments ahead of the arrival of their little one.
In May last year the David Jones ambassador, 26 – who celebrated her one year wedding anniversary last November – hinted she was feeling clucky, saying her mum would make the “coolest” grandmother.
“She’ll do fun things like have lollies in the morning then send them back to me,” the model laughed.
“I’m not pushing her but it’s definitely next on my agenda,” her mum Valerie.
“I just know it’s going to come soon. I’ve started sending her pictures of cute kids outfits.”
Jesinta and AFL great Buddy, who tied the knot in 2016, have never shied away from the fact they’d love to start a family.

“It’s the only thing on my mood board I haven’t achieved yet,” Jesinta in October, 2017.
In the past the model has spoken candidly about raising her children with Buddy with an appreciation and understanding of his indigenous heritage.
“The reality is my children are going to be indigenous and we need to bring them up to have an appreciation of all cultures and the history and where it is that they come from and the adversity their culture has been through,” Jesinta explained on the Today Show.
