A lemonade stand manned by Jerry Seinfeld’s children has been shut down by police.
The New York Post reports that Jerry, his wife and son were selling lemonade for charity in East Hampton last week when coppers came a’calling.
The family was raising money for Baby Buggy, a charity founded by Jerry’s wife, Jessica, that provides baby clothes to needy families.
Police told the family that ‘peddling’ is illegal on East Hampton village property and told them to move along.
“Jessica captured a photo of Jerry and the boys with their hands behind their heads, as if they were being arrested,” the Post says.
“Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor but not before raising lots of money,” she wrote. “Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers!”
