While she’s always living her best life, 2019 was certainly a stand-out for Jennifer Lopez!
From professional to personal endeavours, it seems that the actress, singer and all-round icon has achieved some pretty incredible things. Let’s take a look back at her eventful year.
One word: Iconic.
(Image: Getty Images)Jennifer, 50, addressed her year that was when she hosted Saturday Night Live opening her monologue remarking: “This year, I gotta be honest, I have been so blessed.”
The star caused a frenzy when she took to the runway in a recreation of the iconic Versace gown she wore almost two decades ago.
Not only that, but she wore the green dress once again when she hosted Saturday Night Live after a festive rendition of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
J.Lo also starred in the box office hit Hustlers, for which she’s being tipped for an Oscar nomination.
We can’t wait to see her at the Golden Globe awards where she’s up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for her role as Ramona Vega, a character inspired by real-life stripper Samantha Barbash.
In the same SNL monologe, she also mentioned, “I had the biggest movie opening that I’ve ever had, that included a lap dance from Cardi B.”

On a more personal note, J.Lo rang in her 50th birthday alongside fiancé Alex Rodriguez – who had popped the question a few months earlier with a stunning 20-carat sparkler. This is the Grammy-nominated songstress’ sixth proposal, fifth ring, and will be her fourth marriage.
“For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down,” she told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year.
“But it didn’t have to do with anybody else but me—it was about me figuring out me. Until you learn to love yourself, you can’t completely love [someone else] in a way that is pure and true. Once you do that, you can have relationships that are based on love and respect, that are supportive and nourishing. There’s an evolution there that had to happen for me. I feel like I’m in a better place now.”

The mother-of-two adheres to a strict workout regimen but has admitted, “I am 100 per cent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy.”
On top of that, she’s all about clean eating with a diet full of lean proteins and non-starchy veggies along with some healthy fats and complex carbs but no caffeine, alcohol or processed and refined foods.
