Why Donald Trump has prompted Jennifer Hawkins to cancel upcoming interviews

Jennifer Hawkins has reportedly pulled the pin on her scheduled press in a bid to avoid questions about the controversial politician.

Her history with Donald Trump spans all the way back to 2004, when she won the Trump-run Miss Universe competition.

But Jennifer Hawkins doesn’t want to discuss politics or her association with the 70-year-old Republican candidate.

According to The Daily Telegraph the model , who is currently promoting the tenth season of Australia’s Next Top Model, has decided to cancel all of her upcoming interviews so she can avoid talking about Trump.

The 32-year-old’s rep Sean Anderson confirmed the news in a statement.

“Jennifer is not interested and will not be commenting on Donald Trump,” he explained.

“She is not interested in getting involved in the politics,” the statement concluded.

In the past week, it’s believed the model has cancelled interviews with The Daily Telegraph, Nova and KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

In 2011, while introducing Donald at the National Achievers Congress in Sydney, Jen admitted she looked up to mogul.

“I’m here to introduce someone I admire so much. He has done so much for me and I’m so grateful. He’s a brilliant businessman and he knows everything there is to know about business,” she said at the time.

The model says she wants to avoid weighing in to any political debate.
