Jennifer Aniston has officially joined Instagram and despite only posting one photo, it’s sent fans into a frenzy.
In fact, the Hollywood superstar clocked up almost five million followers in just 12 hours. But did she manage to de-throne the current world record holders of the fastest account to get one million likes?
Prince Harry and Meghan started their own official Instagram account in April, shortly before the birth of their son, Archie.
The royal couple, whose handle is @sussexroyal, currently holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest account to get one million likes- and it took just five hours and 45 minutes!
“Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal,” Harry and Meghan captioned their first post.
Friends fans went into meltdown when Jennifer uploaded a candid selfie featuring herself and her fellow former cast members Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻,” she simply captioned the snap that now has over eight million likes.
Famous faces including Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Ellen DeGeneres and Isla Fisher were just some to comment on the post welcoming the actress to Instagram.
And it’s safe to say we’re not the only ones eager to see what she’ll post next!

The mad rush to follow Jen on Instagram even prompted some technical difficulties with some eager fans unable to follow the account.
“We are aware that some people are having issues following Jen’s page — the volume of interest is incredible!” an Instagram spokesperson told PEOPLE magazine.
“We are actively working on a solution and hope to have the page up and running smoothly again shortly.”
