The Fly actor Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston have welcomed a baby boy named Charlie Ocean Goldblum.
Goldblum took to Facebook to announce the news on Tuesday saying: “We’re so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day,” he wrote – a nod to his famed role in the 1996 sci-fi movie Independence Day.
Jeff and his 32-year-old wife announced they were expecting a child together in January when the star revealed he was going to be a first-time dad on The Late Show with David Letterman.
“It’s a boy. We picked out a name, as a matter of fact. If it stays — this is our current thinking — [it’ll be] Elliott Charlie,” he said on the show.
The couple — who began dating in 2011 — married in November 2014 at LA’s Chateau Marmont in front of friends and family.
Jeff has been married twice before to Silverado co-star Patricia Gaul and Geena Davis, whom he worked alongside in Earth Girls Are Easy.
Congratulations to the Goldblum family!
