Jasmine Yarbrough and her new fiancé Karl Stefanovic are always making headlines, and yet little is known about their home-life outside of the spotlight and away from prying eyes.
But a revealing new interview from the former-model-turned-shoe-designer has finally given fans a behind-the-scenes peek into her everyday with the larger than life media personality.
For starters, she watches her soon-to-be husband co-host Today each morning before beginning her day.
“I wake around seven o’clock on weekdays. I make myself hot water with lemon and put on the Today show to get my fix of news,” the 34-year-old revealed in a new interview with Grazia.
“Then I have a coffee and a slice of toast with avocado… It’s truly the only part of the day when I get to be by myself away from phones and emails. It’s valuable thinking time before I get going and I absolutely love it.”
Jasmine, who co-founded Australian footwear label Mara and Mine with business partner Tamie Ingham, explained that she prefers to stay home from Sunday through to Wednesday. But come Thursday she has other plans.
“Thursday nights I like to have date night with my partner. It could be dinner at a restaurant in town but we mainly stay local. We love supporting local businesses and restaurants,” she told the publication.
“The time together in our busy worlds is so important and lovely. It’s vital to reconnect and communicate and most importantly laugh. And we laugh, all the time. There’s always a lot going on so finding the humor in life keeps you sane.”
She added: “We are truly blessed to have found each other.”
Jasmine admits it’s a “rush during the week” so she and Karl typically head north to Whale Beach and enjoy a relaxing stay with friends once the weekend rolls around.
Earlier this year, Karl confirmed that he had indeed dropped a knee and proposed to Jasmine.
“When Jasmine came into my life, I had no thoughts of new love or the future, but we are happy and grateful we found each other,” he told TheFIX.
“We are yet to work out when we will get married, but probably later this year. We are both very happy.”
Woman’s Day reports the divorced father-of-three and Jasmine held secret meetings with a renowned wedding planner months ago at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, still one of the favourites of movie stars and millionaires.
The hot tip is that the blonde wants superstar wedding planner Sharon Sacks. She famously organised reality TV queen Kim Kardashian’s ill-fated $10 million wedding to first husband, basketball star Kris Humphries.
“Sharon’s clients read like a who’s who,” an insider said.
“On top of planning Kim’s European wedding to Kanye, she also has Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Jennifer Lopez and even [former] President Bill Clinton on her VIP list. I’m not sure how big Jasmine is on her radar.”
The insider says the wedding is expected to be in late November, with less than 100 people making the coveted guest list.
